Marriages of Catholics

Mixed Marriages
In cases of Mixed Marriages
(where one party to the
marriage is not Catholic),
the Church requires that the
Catholic party have its
permission to contract such
a marriage, that the Catholic
party intends to continue
to live the Catholic faith
and to pass on that faith to
their children and asks that
the non-Catholic party
appreciate the church’s concern.

The ceremony in mixed
marriages usually follows
'The Rite of Marriage' without
Mass.
