Ash Wednesday.
This year, Ash Wednesday falls on the 17th of Feb. Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent and is observed
in the Church as a day of fasting and abstinence. Masses will be celebrated at 12:05pm, 1:05pm, and 6pm
but there will be no Healing Mass on Ash Wednesday. |

STAY Young Adults' BBQ.
STAY (St. Augustine's Youth) together with the parish Cell Groups will be having a BBQ on Sunday, the 28th

The Australian Family Assoc. Luncheon.
The Australian Family Association would like to invite parishioners to a luncheon on the 14th March 2010 at
Leura park winery (1400 Geelong-Portarlington Rd Curlewis) to hear their guest speaker, Bill Mullenburg, speak
about family issues. The cost of the lunch will be $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children under 13. It will be a

Death & Dying: An interfaith Symposium.
Recommended for: Pastoral care workers, palliative care professionals and volunteers, medical and allied
care professionals, funeral directors, members of the different faith communities, and others interested
in interfaith approaches to the human person Dates: 9am to 4:30pm for three days: Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 April, 2010.
Venue: Mercy Theatre, Australian Catholic University (St Patrick Campus)
Morning and Afternoon tea provided; lunches BYO or nearby cafes.

are holding the third National Family Gathering in Melbourne. Family – Share the Dream follows
the success of previous conferences, Dare to Dream in 2001 and Living the Dream in 2004.

Marriage Encounter Weekends.
A Marriage Encounter weekend is a marriage enrichment program for married couples. Volunteer couples and a Priest
present the weekend. It is based around Catholic values, but you don’t need to be Catholic to attend.
Forget life’s tensions and interruptions and rekindle the closeness, intimacy, love and romance that brought
you together in the first place. The next 3 weekends will be held on 16-18 April, 25-27 June and 20-22 August.
